Consultant General, Upper GI and Bariatric SurgeonAlan is a consultant Bariatric & Upper GI surgeon with a big interest in service improvement, medical education, academia, and the use of technology, big data, and AI in improving healthcare.He is the Former President of the ASGBI Moynihan Academy, ASiT Council member, NBSR BOMSS national Trainee Representative, AUGIS Roux Group Social Medial Lead.He also holds a PhD from Imperial College and an MSc from the University of Oxford.
Dr Fahad M Iqbal
PhD MBChB (hons)
GP TraineeFahad is now a GP Trainee. Previously he was a core surgical trainee after having completed a PhD supervised by Lord the Professor Darzi at Imperial College London. He has over 35 publications in high-impact journals like npj Digital Medicine and Lancet eClinicalMedicine. He is passionate about digital health and teaching.He is part of the Fides Team as a health influencer for the World Health Organisation
Mr Mohamed Aly
MPhil FRCS
Consultant General and Upper GI SurgeonMohamed completed his training in General Surgery in the East of England rotation. He completed his MPhil from the University of Cambridge. He is passionate about teaching and quality improvement in healthcare. He has lead numerous regional and national projects, and assumed many leadership roles throughout his career.He currently leads the National Emergency Bariatric Surgery Audit in the UK.
